Summary
In the report, the Special Rapporteur explores the structural, cultural, legal, economic and ecological barriers that women face in their fulfilment of the right to food. It identifies examples of good practice, demonstrating how increased access to and control over assets on behalf of women, has shown to have positive effects on household food security, child nutrition and general well-being of the woman and her family.
