Summary

In its resolution 37/15, the Human Rights Council requested the High Commissioner to prepare and submit to the Council at its thirty-ninth session, a summary report on the high-level intersessional discussion celebrating the centenary of Nelson Mandela, which was convened on 27 April 2018. The aim of the discussion was to celebrate Mr. Mandela’s life and legacy, in the context of promoting and protecting human rights through social justice, reconciliation and democratic ideals.
