Summary
At its 21st session, held from 17 – 21 May 2021 in Geneva, the Open-ended Intergovernmental Working Group on the Right to Development continued to review progress made in the implementation of the right to development.
In this context, it held an interactive dialogue with the Chair of the Expert Mechanism on the right to development and the Special Rapporteur on the right to development and consider contributions made by States and stakeholders to the implementation of the right to development including in the context of national implementation of the SDGs.
The Working Group also started discussion on a draft legally binding instrument on the right to development.
