UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination to review Chile, Denmark, Singapore, Switzerland and Thailand

The UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) will hold its upcoming session from 15 November to 3 December, during which it will review Chile, Denmark, Singapore, Switzerland and Thailand.

The five countries are among the 182 States parties to the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination. They are required to undergo regular reviews by the Committee of 18 independent international experts on how they are implementing the Convention.

The Committee, which has received respective country reports and submissions from non-governmental organizations and national human rights institutions, will discuss and address a range of issues with the five State delegations through in-person public dialogues on the following dates:

Switzerland: 16 November 3:00pm, 17 November 10:00am Geneva time

Singapore: 18 November 3:00pm, 19 November 10:00am

Thailand: 22 November 3:00pm, 23 November 10:00am

Denmark: 23 November 3:00pm, 24 November 10:00am

Chile: 24 November 3:00pm, 25 November 10:00am
