Artwork connects youth to human rights

To mark the 75th anniversary of the UDHR, UN Human Rights collaborated with the Gabarron Foundation to organize painting workshop across the globe. In Brussels, the regional office organized a workshop with Ukrainian children welcoming about 40 children aged 6 to 14. The office also organized two workshops on the theme of the environment ahead of the regional dialogue on a healthy and sustainable environment where some of the artworks were displayed. Painting workshops provided an opportunity to explain human rights and the importance of the UDHR to young people.

Andriy, who dreams of becoming a video game developer in the future, was among the five winners of a video contest organized earlier this year by the United Nations Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (HRMMU) to mark the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). read more
