Missing persons receive attention and help healing in Kosovo*

Between 1998 and 1999, the conflict in Kosovo resulted in thousands dead, left homeless and more than 6,000 people missing.

Lutfije Vokshi’s brother, Adem Ademi, was one of those.

A doctor from Mitrovica, Ademi and 23 others tried to leave Kosovo just after the NATO bombings started in the country. The group was stopped by Serbian police. Ademi has been missing ever since.

Lutfije still looks for him and the Multi-Ethnic Resource Centre on Missing Persons in Kosovo* is there to help. The centre provides a neutral space where Kosovo Serbs, Kosovo Albanians, and others can access resources, information and other means to assist their quest to find information on missing loved ones.
